Default sales rep to use Territories?

When our order processor creates new customers they are set as the sales rep in the customer record, and resulting sales order instead of following the rules in Territories. Is there any way to change this behaviour? If an order is placed n the web then everything is correct, but Netsuite defaults the sales rep to the person who creates the customer.
