PayPal behaving weirdly

We have several orders sitting with a status of "Pending PayPal Authorization".  That by itself isn't too weird, but here are two things that are.

1.  The dollar amount collected in PayPal is one penny off of the total shown on the NS Sales Order.

2.  PayPal shows a status of "completed" for the payment transaction and in one instance we can confirm that the money has already been deposited into our checking account ...yet NS has the SO with the status = "Pending PayPal Authorization".

Anyone else seeing any strange behavior?
