Post-dated cheques

Hi,

What is the impact of entering a payment that is dated in the future, ex: accept post-dated cheque as customer payment in order to track when cheque needs to be deposited. I'm thinking a reminder, if possible, would help track when checks need to be deposited.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
