Layouts with Account Hierarchy>0 Does Not Export Well to Excel

In V11, something changed with Excel exporting. 

In V10, I was able to export reports to Excel with layouts that limited display to hierarchy=1. 

V11 ... I can see these reports on screen... just fine.
V11 ... I can export CSV... just fine.

V11 ... if I try to export them in Excel ... it tries to export formulas to summarize the excluded data... but the excluded data is not part of the spreadsheet... the numbers turn out to be ZERO.

This is very frustrating because I need these reports monthly.
