Mail Merge Prob

I follow the instructions for creating a Word 2003 merge template doc etc.  Do the Bulk Mail Merge.  OK so far......

But when a receipient opens the received email attached document, they get the File Conversion - NetLedgerSampleHeaderFIle249.csv dialog box.  Cancelling that brings up a load of MS Word merge dialog boxes.

What am i doing wrong?
