User Group Pain

anybody have a solution for flakey user group security?

I've not used this new group as much as the previous interface due to pain of access - the remember me? doesn't work (firefox/OS X) and the many hoops re-set routine is frankly archaic, and silly, not to mention often broken

please don't recommend that I simply remember my password - that is not the issue I'm complaining about

there are plenty of systems that simply re-send the password to the address on file - why is that not plenty good enough for a user group?
