Making Updates and imports easier

This may be really dumb, but here goes anyway.  I would have thought that it would be simple for Netsuite to provide a set of standard searches where the results EXACTLY matched the csv import templates.

That way, just about any mass update or correction exercise could be done by way of export of a file, its manipulation in Excel and its reimport. 

Putting aside silly stuff like getting field names correct, at present (as an example) one cannot export a reimportable item code or parent name and there are loads of other fields that are tough to get at.
