Importing Events via SMBXML create uneditable Events

We are in the process of doing a Salesforce migration to Netsuite.  So far the customers and tasks have been uploaded without any issues.

Now we are working on the events.  I noticed that after importing an event, I am able to view it but not edit it.  I have tried this twice with the same issues.  On a related note I have been unable to set the start time and end time fields.  What format are we suppose to use?  In the dtd it only notes that it should be of string format.
