Details or Options on Opportunities...

We are having a problem with the Details or Options field on the opportunities.  The problem is it doesn't work.  If I have an item that has options attached to it, i.e. color or size, the opportuinity does not pull up those options.  If I enter this same item on a quote, sales order, or purchase order I am prompted to enter the items options.

Anyone else having this problem?
