How to Delete Records with Login Audit Trail

When someone registers on the webstore it seems they immediately create a login audit trail. However if it is decided that this registration is bogus and we want to remove from our records, we can not. We get:

'test' cannot be deleted because it has associated login audit records.

How can I remove this login audit trail so the record can be deleted? It makes no sense that this should not be allowed.
