performance metrics
Evan - can you post some performance metrics so your customers can have reasonable, quantifiable expectations of how our accounts should respond?
I can tell you that my users struggle with any delays and their standard is highly responsive desktop apps, fair or not that is your competition for user satisfaction
perhaps the perception that anything over 2-3 seconds is too much time, is unrealistic, but a manager watching sales staff drumming their fingers and clearly interrupting their workflow is difficult to justify with the horsepower we have in client, LAN and Internet resources - page loads of >30 seconds seem too long to all, longer than that and they look for alternatives or simply step away = no business = failed product
