transforming locations or jobs into subcustomers

edited Dec 3, 2019 3:27PM in General

i still have jobs and locations (remnants from NL days?) on some customer records.  i want these to be subcustomers; i dont need any locations or jobs really.

but how can i convert these records?

i tried creating a similar subcustomer record, but duplicate merge does not offer subcustomers and jobs/locations as potential merges (even if they are similar in every field).  i have a long history of transactions and events on each location/job, so i cant just delete them or change old transactions.

is there any way to accomplish this in NS?

is there a way to do this using smbxml or web services?  (i'm not sure if those tools let you mod the dbase directly or what.)  thanks.

Howdy, Stranger!
