customer search "unexpected error occured"

after setting two criterion for a customer search (as "status" and "date created; within these dates"), then running the search and clicking the "return to criteria" button, I get "unexpected error occured, click here to notify support and supply details". No matter how many times i try it, it occurs like clock work.

Well, they didnt give me any information after I reported it (such as a case number?), nor do I see a "existing support cases" link in my support menu. So please tell me what the status is on this and when we can expect it to work as designed. this is a high priority error that is affecting our business' work flow and needs to be addressed immediately
