Importing Matrix Items w/ 2007 Import Assistant

Has anyone had any luck updating matrix items with the new import assistant? I need to make several changes to my item number and I’m unable to get a successful item import using this new assistant. I'm able to successfully update regular inventory items with the import assistant just not matrix. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
