Bank Deposits

Hi - My daily credit card/cash sales are being posted as "undeposited funds" and at the end of day I accum the transations and post a deposit for the day's sales.
When I edit the Cash Sale Transaction after a deposit it remains in an unposted status causing the register to exclude their totals from any reporting .
Any help would be great,
