Balance Sheet not matching Income Statement and other issues
1. How can a net income amount on a balance sheet not equal the net income amount on an income statement? I'm looking at the default (not customized) templates for each report and they are both as of the same "period" - not any special date ranges.
2. How can we start NetSuite with opening journal entry balances on 8/31/06 and all of a sudden now be showing data on the individual January 2006 through July 2006 balance sheets and income statements? Where did that data come from? Nobody entered it on our end.
3. And, most confusing, why would an invoice that was billed in January of 2007 show up as a receivable on the May 2006 balance sheet?
