Download Expiration Time Shrinking

We have an issue with download items we sell. The download items are set to expire in 14 days but if we go into a customer's record to change other information it seems to deduct a day from their download expiration date.

If a customer purchased a download item today and hasn't downloaded it yet, then for some reason we have to edit something in their record twice, they're expiration date will be 12 days from today not the correct 14.

Is anyone else seeing this issue?
