Link between SalesOrder and Invoices

Hi,

I want to know how to create relation between "SalesOrder" and "Invoices" using webservices.

I tried like
   invoice.createdFrom.internalid = salesorder.internalid;
   invoice.createdFrom.type = RecordType.account;
   invoice.createdFrom.typeSpecified = false;

It is creating the invoice but in created form value is coming blank.
Is there any other way to process.

Plz suggest me how to do this.
