Status changing from Customer to a lead????

I've noticed that everytime we have a customer who goes through our web-site and completes our "contact us" form, the status in Netsuite for that customer is changed to a Lead.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Is there a setting somewhere that we need to change??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
