Customer Center "Make Copy"

Not many of our customers make use of the customer center, so this is the first time I have experienced the following problem.
We received an order overnight, that apparently came from the Make Copy option in the customer center.  The problem is, that one of the items has been discontinued and Inactive for a year and all of the prices as well as shipping had changed. 
Shouldn't this update based on current information?
