Cannont Log In or Extremly Sluggish response

I have noticed that logging in and loading various pages has become a tedious process in the last few weeks. This morning we are unable to log on at all. We have tried several times with various users at different work stations with no luck.
Calling ns for customer support is my all time least favorite thing to do.
Any suggestions?
