Multi Relationships - Customers & Partners - Need help!

The issue -

Several hundred partners created per normal NS functionality.  Using the "other relationships" button, customer records were created for each.

Now, no longer need/want the partner record - so...tried the following -

Inactivate - This inactivates both records

Delete - if the customer record has transactions - can't delete because      of child entries...can't delete the entries (transactions)

Also tried to remove agencies from the transactions (referenced on transactions) and then delete - this did not work either.

Called Support - appears to be a defect that has not been pushed through to enhancement - (OK - I am pushing I guess)
