Set Preferences for Number of Rows in List Segments not working

I have changed the Number of Rows in List Segments (in my set preferences from the home page link) to 200.  However when I go and look at activities for a project it still shows them in lists of 25 and there is a drop down box in the right hand cornet that allows me to page only on blocks of 25 (I.e. 1 to 25 of 50).

What am I missing?  Do I have to set this somewhere else as well?
