Strange URL's

I have never noticed this before but when I add any item to the shopping cart the URL includes the ID of ever Custom Column Field that we have created.  It's very strange.
Look here
I checked in Netsuite and "store item" field is marked for these but it is also marked as hidden.
Is this the way it is supposed to work?
