Are Negative Handling Charges Possible?

Hi,

We'd like to give our customers a break on shipping charges by taking a bit off our margin and subsidizing their shipping.

This has to be done on a per item basis as our margin, and therefore how big a subsidy we can afford, varies per-item.

I thought I'd solve this using negative handling charges per item, does anyone know if this is acceptable in NS?
