Hiding Item Price Causes error in Customer Center

Inactive items no longer show on the 're-order items' screen of the Customer Center. However, I see that we can now hide prices on individual items, and show a custom message instead. So I thought, "Great! I'll make some of these items active again, with a custom message that it's 'no longer available, order new part xxx'".

So I made I made one item active again, to test it. Configured it to hide the price, and keyed a message in the No Price Message field.

Logged in with one of my test accounts. Clicked on the My Account tab, and clicked on the 're-order items' link. It still wouldn't show up on the 're-orer items' screen. So I went back and set it to Display in Web Site. Clicked on the 're-order items' link. I get this Error message:
