Export to PDF and Excel

It seems that about half of the things that I try to export to Excel of PDF just do not work.  System just sits there forever with no change in status.  Yesterday the newest one was exporting PDF of income statement for Jan - Nov.  Sort of important for my upcoming board meeting.  Ended up printing then scanning to pdf, but Netsuite shows that it is supposed to be able to do it.  I have had similar problems with exporting item lists to Excel and such.
