File Cabinet security ignored by custom record
If you have a file cabinet folder and apply a restrict to group permission then link one of these files within that folder to a custom record (via a field of type document) then the file cabinet security is ignored and all users that can access the record can view the file.
This means that it is impossible to link a file to a record and allow some users to view the record but only a subset of those users to view the attached file.
Does anyone know a workaround for this?
I created a support case regarding this is #851908 (which has been attached to feature request #122814)
