auto "preferred stock level" calculations seem too high

edited Dec 3, 2019 3:04PM in General 10 comments

Our Inventor reorder points seem too high.  We use multiple locations.    For some items, we ship small orders from our location and large orders are fulfilled via drop-ship from the vendor's location.

So, lets say that our location is location "A".  Location "A" shipped 60 units of brass widgets in the last 70 days.  Location "A" sold more than 60 units, but they drop-shipped the larger orders from the vendor's warehouse and sent 60 units from location "A".

brass widget has a preferred location of "Location A".
Auto calculate of inventory reorder points =yes.
brass widget has a preferred stock level of 70 days and a safety stock level of 25 days.

Howdy, Stranger!
