Sales Order entry issue

Hi all,

I've been trying to create a custom Sales Order entry role and have hit a small hurdle:

The Customer field on a new Sales Order does not find matches for previous customers. Matches for those same customers ARE found in Global Search. Further, if I enter a customer record and click New Sales Order, I am correctly given a new sales order with the customer field pre-populated.

The role has been given View level permission to Lists > Customers and Full Perform Search; are there some other permissions needed? Or, is this a bug?
