Custom Field Won't Dynamically Default

I have created a field on item fulfillments that is supposed to show what user was logged in when it was created, but it doesn't work! What am I doing wrong???

Here is the field:
Label = Shipped By
Type = List/Record
List/Record = Employee
Store Value = True (Yes, it works if I un-check this, but that makes the field useless)
Applies To = Item Fulfillment
Print on Packing Slip = True
Display = Main
Dynamic Default = Current User

Please Help!
