Issues with online forms - entitystatus and auto generated numbers

Hello,
We have an online form which allows our users to sign up with us, thus creating a customer record in netsuite.

We set the entity status based on how they got to the online form, however since the update every signup is now receiving the error "Invalid entitystatus reference key X" where X is the internal ID of that customer status.

Has netsuite now stopped us posting an entity status with the online form? If so, why, and how can we get around this?
