System Notes Missing from Group Search?

I'm trying to create a saved search that lists how many groups were created last month.

I can't seem to access the group's system notes.  There's no option in the saved search criteria or results and using a formula like {systemnotes.date} results in ERROR: Field Not Found. 

Is there a different formula that I could use or should I request that these fields be exposed?
