Unable to charge authorized cc, card # asterisked out
Case #1123365
Let me preface this with the fact that we are normally able to see complete credit card numbers.
We have one sales order that was placed online last week. The credit card was successfully authorized through paypal. The order shipped and we tried to bill the order, but have been unable to get card approval.
The reason given is that "Credit card numbers must contain between 13 and 20 digits. ".
We can then go in and try and look at the credit card number. All but the last 4 digits are asterisks. Again, this is not the case on any other transaction. Counting the asterisks plus the 4 digits comes to 15 (correct count for AmEx).
