Mass Sales Order Billing No Longer Working

For some reason I can no longer bill multiple orders at once from the "bill sales orders" page. As soon as I check them and hit bill it forwards me (with little delay) to a list of the transactions and says "failed" for each one and says to run the transaction individually to find out more about the problem. When I bill the orders individually they go through with no problem. Any ideas?
