Address dropdowns in user profiles

Address dropdowns are behaving strangely in Firefox (3.6). Their positioning is way off and not connected to the field after clicking on it.
Here's a of screenshot the issue.
From what I can tell the dropdown is not the standard select element with options but an absolutely positioned div. I'm not sure what the reason is for this, especially during the checkout process, the address form uses the standard select element and it works fine in all the browsers I've tested with.
Any insight or solution to this?
