Mass Update Failing

Hi,

Just trying to perform a simple update on a custom field but this is failing with the following message;

Custom Item Mass Update
Your mass update is complete, and has been successfully performed on 0 records. 
Your mass update failed to complete for 1747 records: [missing resource APP_ERRORMESSAGE_YOU_MAY_NOT_CHANGE_THE_FULFILLABLE_STATUS_OF_AN_ITEM_WHICH_HAS_TRANSACTIONS_ASSOCIATED_WITH_IT]


Any Ideas ?????
