Customers and us not getting email of Sales Orders - arg! why?

We have had several customers in the last few weeks say that they aren't getting email copies of their orders.  At first I thought that they maybe entered their email addresses wrong, then I thought the emails might have been going into their spam folder.  But then it started happening to us.  We weren't getting copies of all the Sales Orders either.  Can't figure out why?  Anyone else?
