Exchange revaluation reverses

Hi There

It appears that f/x revaluation prepared for the end of the month reverses in the following month.  As a result the revaluation reversal amount results in the Canadian $ amount significantly higher then the US $ amount and isn't corrected until the end of the current month when the reval is processed.  This makes it difficult to determine the balance of the account when the CDN amount is significantly over stated mid month.
Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix that I might not be aware of?
