Separate Image for Child Item?

Quick Question: Is it possible to add a separate image for each child item? 

Example: We have an item that comes in white or ivory.
Parent Item -
  White Child Item
  Ivory Child Item

We'd like to associate a specific image for the white child item and another image for the ivory child item.
