nlapiRequestURL XML-RPC response issue

Hello everyone. While back I posted a question asking why nlapiRequestURL was returning jibberish. Form search I've done so far, this might be due to content-encoding type of deflate and netsuite only supports gzip.

It works just fine even with deflate encoding if XML-RPC request returns a single value. It causes issue; xml response comes back with unrecognizable text; when XML-RPC response contains array.

As anyone experienced this?
