Date ranges in report filters are acting strange.

Look at the two attached screen shots.  Shouldn't they go to 2013 based on the range that I selected?

I select "sales date = one year ago" and it changes the date to the range of 1/1/2012 to 3/15/2012.

Today is 3/15/2013 !!

The other example also appears to be broke.
