Bundled information item templates are blank when the bundle is installed

Since this summer, information item detail templates that are bundled appear totally blank when installed. It never used to be like that.

Has there been a change I need to be aware of, or is this some kind of bug? Any ideas???

Previously, the information item detail template that I created for my bundle worked great. Even updates were fine. Then a few weeks ago, someone was updating the bundle and found that the information item detail template that was updated was totally blank. The name was there & the description, but the content in Addition to <head> and the content in Template HTML was completely erased.
