Sandbox maintenance message

"The system is currently unavailable while we undergo our regularly scheduled maintenance."

I have had problems accessing my sandbox since last week. I know this has happened in the past for various reasons but are others having trouble now? And I doubt that maintenance is regularly scheduled during the day, at least I hope not, even for sandbox. I'll send something in to support but thought I might get a quicker update here and know how widespread this problem is. Has this happened often?
