Sudden Mass Credit Card Decline

Today we have had a sudden grouping of credit card transactions decline. It has hit in waves of several minutes then goes back to normal as the transactions are tried again the authorizations are approved.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I use Payflow pro to connect my merchant account for processing.
