Access to Case data from a Project Saved Search

I am creating a Project / Job saved search and I need to have access to detail that is contained on the Case Record that is attached to the project or Job..  I do not see the Case group of records when I and looking at the associated records.  Do i have something not set up properly or is there some reason I can not see any case data from a Project saved search?
