Transaction Search - Sales Order, Including Tax Line criteria very slow

Has anyone else experienced this. We have lodged a defect however this is not providing much help as this is now week 3 of the problem.
To replicate, we have a Transaction Search with 3 criteria

1. Type = Sales Order
2. External ID (Text) = xxx-xxx-xxx
3. Tax Line = False


WITH the Tax Line it blows out to around 8-10 seconds.
WITHOUT the Tax Line criteria we get results in around 1 second

(This 8-10 seconds with Tax Line criteria has started since Monday 13th Feb and previously was also 1 second or less)

Any help or results from different data centres would be most welcome!
