"Display Components on Transactions" Box

A few days ago I checked the "Display Components on Transactions" box on one of our items. I now want to reverse that, but I have been unable to uncheck that box using either the delete key or the space bar, even though I am in Edit mode. Has anyone had this issue? Thank you.
