TLD Rules for the Email Field on Custjob.nl

This isn't really an issue more of a generic question about the rules around the `email` field on the customer record.

TLD have expanded way beyond the original .net and .com and so on.  Now it includes values for industry and many many other things such as .blog and .flowers.

How does NetSuite source the approved TLD's and what official list do the draw from? Do they regularly update based on IANA's rules and eventually the ever changing/updating set of newly proposed and approved TLDs?

I'd like to understand more about this and couldn't find any documentation in HELP or elsewhere on the subject.  Anyone here have any tips/pointers where to look?
