Importing and Exporting Information Items??

Hi my name is neil henschen, i work for kehardware, we recently started seeing the need for information items. we decided that for simple things they would be very effective and so we plan on using them exept i cannot find out how to import them. is there a way to import and export information items?? if so could sum one please help me with this. thanks ahead for any help
